Can I change Received payment date once sent

I’m glad to see you in the Community, bg8.

Yes, you can change the received payment date once it’s sent. We’ll have to open the customer’s Transaction List to update the information.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Sales menu on the left panel to select Customers.
  2. On the Customers Centre page, click the on the client’s name to access the Transaction List.
  3. From there, click on the Payment to view more details.
  4. Enter the date you want to use in the Payment date field.

  5. Click Save and close and then hit the Yes to confirm the action.

Here’s an article with detailed information about the received payment process. It outlines the steps on how to record single, partial, and joint payments: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, you can bookmark the Manage Customers and Income article for future reference. It provides a breakdown of articles about customer processes in QBO.

Keep me posted if you need further assistance when working in QuickBooks. I’ll be right here to help and make sure you’re taken care of. Have a great rest of the day.
