I've changed the signature in the account setting which I was expecting to be a default one across all forms. Seems not as the "Have a great day!" is still present on the Statements. I've tried changing it in the custom form section but Statement aren't in there to be customised. I'd rather not be sending forms out form with this as my signature thank you.
Please advise
Hello Mark, so the statement message cant be removed within Quickbooks, statements can not be customised in quickbooks, only the other forms can be such as invoices ect just not statements, we would suggest you leave this has feedback within the main cog wheel and this then gets sent straight to the developers team.
Seriously, so I have to put up with a stupid American term which people east cringe at in the UK? Why the heck can I custom it on one for but not the other?
Just gets worse does this. Why oh why am finding stupid things like this with QBO. I've only been using it for a couple of days. It's just lazy programming.
A second thought on this. I'm not wishing to change the Statement. I'm wishing to change the email signature? It's not part of the template it the actual email section. Come on for crying out loud this is basic stuff, not even part of the form!!!!
Hi Mark, I appreciate that this phrasing may not be suited to all businesses and agree it would be great to customise this - while the default email cannot be changed and only applies to sales forms, you can remove this line from the email at the point of sending and add in any additional text that you would like to show.
I’m just spoken with someone on the telephone helpline regarding this and they admitted it appears to be more of a bug than by design. The systems wide signature for emails should be systems wide. Simply, email body should be common across the system for a business.
As I said, this is really really basic stuff
And so, several months later there has been a change in the signature for statements and the un-editible signature.
I think the developers are taking the mick because they've removed the "Have a nice Day" quote, and just deleted the whole signature now leaving a blank box.
How hard was it just to add the system wide email body to ALL outgoing send form so that they match. I just can't understand the reasoning.
Honestly, who is in charge of all of this. It is quite simply a joke.
THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.
