Reset Quickbooks SE

Hi, I’ve made a couple of errors setting up QB Self Employed. How can I clear everything and start again please?

Hi there, @Iain Caird. I appreciate you for reaching out here in the Community. I'll help you proceed to start over again with your QuickBooks Self-employed account.

 

Your QuickBooks Self-employed account can be reset in one of two ways. The first option is to erase your transactions (Imported and categorized). To begin, here's how:

 

For manually imported transactions, (CSV file):

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon,  then choose Imports.
  2. Select the account.
  3. In the Files imported section, click the Trash can icon.
  4. In the pop-up prompt, select Delete.

For connected accounts:

 

  1. Open the Gear icon, then choose Bank accounts.
  2. Click the Trash can icon.
  3. Type "Delete" in the text box.
  4. Click Delete.

These steps will remove all transactions from your account, whether they are categorised or not.

 

In case you have transactions that were manually added but not with the use of CSV file, here's how you can remove them from your account:

 

  1. Go to the Transactions menu.
  2. Find and check the transactions you manually added.
  3. Click the Trash can icon, then click Apply.
