Since the update I have been unable to sort invoices by due date.This is essential for meAny ideas how to do this now?

You can sort your invoices by due date in QuickBooks Online by adding a Due Date column in the Invoices section, @Catswhiskerssouthcambs.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Sales, then select Invoices.
  2. Click the Gear icon next to the ACTION caption, then check the box for Due date.

 

Once done, QuickBooks will automatically add a DUE DATE column in the Invoices section. Then, click on the DUE DATE once or twice to sort your invoices in either ascending or descending order.

 

In case you want to filter your invoices by due date, just run the Open Invoices or Invoice List reports along with the Filter option.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Reports, then select Standard reports.
  2. Enter Open Invoices or Invoice List in the Type report name here search box.
  3. Use the Filter icon to filter the report by Due date.

This is great thanks so much for your help..  I can now do this on the website but still struggling on sorting this out in the app? Should it do this automatically now?

Yes, you can sort invoices by due date on both the website and the app. While you can set the Due Date as a default on the website, please note that in the app, you'll need to apply this filter manually. Here's how to do it:

 

  1. Navigate to Menu, then Invoices.
  2. Click the Ellipsis icon, then Sort by.
  3. Select Due Date.

If you've attempted sorting the invoice transactions but the option isn't appearing or isn't working correctly, let's clear the app's data. This process resets the system and eliminates old files that could be affecting performance.

 

If you're using iOS, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Go to Settings, then tap General.
  2. Tap iPhone Storage, then select the QuickBooks Online app.
  3. Tap Offload App. It will free up the storage without deleting your app's documents and data.

Otherwise, refer to this instruction for Android:

 

  1. Go to Menu ☰, then select More Options.
  2. Tap Settings, and click Refresh Data.

Once refreshed, restart your device and log back into your QuickBooks app account to see if you can do so without issues. If the issue persists, please uninstall and reinstall the application to ensure it is updated.

After doiing all of that (twice) these are the options I have...

 

Date

Amount

Customer name

Status

Invoice number

 

I really need this to work on the app.. i rarely use the desktop site as I am mobile and although invoices are generated in different dates people are booking services so book months in advance. 

The inability to sort bu due days is actually making life very difficult.

 

How else can I get help to fix this please?
