When I run a tax summary report for the current tax year (2019/20) on the 'your turnover' tab it only shows the full description for the first 24 transactions out of 278. i.e. First 24 show 'FASTER PAYMENTS RECEIPT REF. 'Client ref' FROM 'Client Name''. Remaining 254 only show 'Faster Payment Receipt'. This is no good for me as I need to see all clients names. Is this a bug or is there a setting that needs turning on ?
Any assistance much appreciated
Hi Greenfield Studios
When you download the turnover to Excel, using the download icon to the right of the category column, are you able to see the full description, you may have to expand the description column to view the full description?

Yes I have expanded the column and the full description does show ok on the first 24 transactions but after that it is truncated
The detail is actually missing in Quickbooks so it's not the actual download. The detail is missing from all transactions dated later than 05/05/19
Hi Greenfield
If you locate one of the transactions where the description is shortened, within the transaction page, is the description showing in full, you may have to select the transaction to view the full description?
Hi John
Yes; the detail is on a field called 'Bank description' but this does not show up on the report for transactions dated after 05/05/19. Is there any way of exporting this data ?
Good day, Greenfield Studios.
Yes, you can export the transactions with their full description directly from the Transactions page. Just click the Export icon in the right-hand side of the page.
Here's an article about exporting data from your account: Export your data from QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Aside from that, you'll also want to check out this guide article to help with you easily categorise your banking transactions: Create rules to speed up reviews in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
I'll be around if you need additional help with QBSE.
