We have been waiting for a direct Bank Feed from Amex for some time. Now Amex have discontinued the option to upload .qbo files. They recommend we switch to Xero. WTF?

I spent hours complaining but to no effect. Have Amex and Intuit had a tiff?

Hello there, @Pushkin.

Due to some changes and updates, there are banks for which there is no open banking solution readily available. For American Express, continue importing bank transactions using CSV file uploads until your new connection is available. Your bank might give you options for how to download/export your transactions. You can pick one of these so you can upload the file to QuickBooks Online (QBO):

  • Comma-Separated Values (CSV)
  • QuickBooks Online (QBO)

For additional reference about download transactions from your bank or credit cards, then manually import them into QBO, feel free to open this link.
