Hello Community Users! Just adding to this thread. If there is a rejected return there is not an option in Quickbooks Online to delete it. You can however unfile the return (here is a link on how to do that) and then mark it as filed again manually. But it will still show the return as unfiled (rejected) return for auditing purposes. We hope that this clarifies things.

Thank you for your reply. I have now had my first two cis returns rejected, do you have any advice on how to get them accepted when submitting through quickbooks? I've checked the subcontractor details are correct so dont know what to check next?!

Hi - just wondering what the outcome of this was? I too have submitted some cis returns via the HMRC portal as couldn’t submit via quick books. I note that the reply was that they couldn’t be deleted - so wondered how you have resolved this? Thanks in advance.
