How do I add the "other" field from a customer details record to the report Sales by Product/Service detail e.g. the report line should show customer name, then "other"?

Hi there, marina.taylor.   

 

The Sales by Product/Service Detail is a transaction based report grouped by product or service that includes the date, transaction type, quantity, rate, amount, and total. We're unable to add the Other information entered in the customer's details unless we also enter it on the transaction.   

 

We can pull up both Sales by Product/Service Detail and Customer Contact List and export them into Excel, and collate it from there. I'll show you how: 

  1. From the Reports menu search and select Sales by Product/Service Detail first. 
  2. Then, customize the report to the data you need to display.
  3. From the upper-right, click the export icon and select Export to Excel
  4. Go back to the Report list and search for Customer Contact List
  5. At the upper-right, click Customise
  6. Select Rows/Columns > Change Columns
  7. Check the Other box. 
  8. Click Run report to refresh.
  9. Then, click Export to Excel from the upper-right. 

You can also check out this article for more details on how to customise reports. In addition, you might want to use the Notes field of the transaction\ to enter customer's additional information so you have the option to add it on any customer/sales related transactions.
