I have removed our Emp Allow under Payroll Settings as we have staff who are furloughed so aren't paying the NIC. On the P32 report, it is deducting the Emp Allowance?

Hi LizaM1

What payroll system are you using, standard or advanced?

Hi @LizaM1

I may be barking up the wrong tree but, as I understand it, you should carry on paying employer NI & claiming the Allowance as normal but you adjust your CJRS claim to account for the Allowance.

So, if you were due to claim £1000 from the CJRS for employer NI but your monthly employer NI bill has been reduced to £zero by the Employer Allowance, you should not be claiming the £1000 from the CJRS.

I know the net result is the same but it might make it easier to account for.
