I found this article by searching the help community. https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-au/help-articles/journal-entry-import-in-quickbooks-o... However, when I go to "Import Data", there is no option to select journal entries to import. Am I missing something? This is a standard feature with any accounting system so I can't imagine it does not exist.

As far as I know, this new feature is only available in certain QBO version (e.g AU, UK)
If you are using QBO Advanced, I am not sure when the feature is available in QBO US version. For the time being, utilize the trial period of TP Importer.

Thank you for sharing the article, @AmyS.
Upon checking our test accounts and the test drive, you should be able to import your journal entries directly from the Import Data feature. May I know when did you start your account?
Currently, the function to import your journal entries is available to all newly subscribed accounts. With this, I recommend contacting our Customer Care Support so someone can check your account details and be able to import your journal entries.
Lastly, here's a few articles you can read for ideas about how you can manage your account and related transactions: Help Articles for QuickBook Online.

The option to import the Journal Entries differ on what country you're in. That said, I'd recommend reaching out to our Phone Support team. An agent will take a look at your account to verify your subscription and your subscribed country.

Unfortunately this is not available on our version (US version) though we are paying high fees monthly. Most advanced subscription activated. (Further upgrade is not available)
QBO team must enable this feature immediately for us
Let's ensure this option will be available in your version, SuperStar777.
I can see how useful is the journal import process feature when using QuickBooks Online (QBO). This allows you to create journal entries by uploading an Excel file that contains the journal information to the system. Apart from this, this saves data entry time when you need to enter multiple journals, or journals with multiple lines.
You'll want to send feedback to let our product team know how this feature is important for your business. To do so, follow the steps outlined below:
Your request and valuable feedback go to our Product Development team to help improve your experience in QBO. Learn how to track feature requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.
Furthermore, QuickBooks provides different kinds of report that shows the information you need most. Learn how to customize them so they show the right data: Customize Reports In QuickBooks Online.

Don't expect too much. I wouldn't be surprised if ProAdvisors in the US balked at the idea of letting QBO users be able to import JE themselves. You have to use the importer tool

The QBO help as of Jan 2024 says the JE Import function is active.
But it's not.
For another $500 I can use Transaction Pro to do it. What is going on?

Intuit does not enable the JE import feature in the US.
Must work for it to be enabled in other countries, so it's just another way to demand more money from us in the US.
