Trial Balance

A client has changed their accounting period, so I need to run a for 16 months so I can pull this into TaxCalc to complete the annual accounts
I don't appear to be able to do this, is there a specific way to access this information

Trial Balance

We'll have to select the Custom option and input the specific month in the From and To fields to get the data you need, Helen. I'll assist you with the steps to make sure everything works out well.

To start off, can you tell us if you faced any hurdles while working on the Trial Balance for the 16-month period? Knowing this will help us address the issue effectively and find the best solution.

While I wait for your reply, let's head to the Reports Center and run the Trial Balance report from there. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu on the left panel and choose Reports.
  2. Enter Trial Balance in the Type report name here field.
  3. From the Report period drop-down, select Custom and input the specific month in the From and To fields.
  4. Set the correct Accounting method: Accrual or Cash basis.
  5. Click Run report to generate the trial balance for the specified period.

Here’s a reference to help you keep the same report settings for future use: Memorise reports in QuickBooks Online. It allows you to quickly open the report without performing the customisation process.
