Let’s add service dates to your invoices to ensure timely and accurate billing, Paolo.
In QuickBooks Online (QBO), we can easily include a Service Date column on your invoices by enabling the designated option within Account and Settings. This helps streamline your billing process and improves record accuracy.
For a more detailed walkthrough, here's how:
- Click the Gear icon in the upper right corner of QBO.
- Select Account and Settings.
- Go to the Sales tab.
- Click the Pencil icon to edit the sales form settings.
- Turn on the Service Date option.
- Save your changes, then click Done.
I’ve included a screenshot below for your reference.

Once enabled, please review your invoice to confirm the Service Date column is visible.

If the column is missing, activate this feature directly within the Invoice settings to ensure the service date will show. Please refer to the attached illustration below:

After activation, the Service Date column will appear on your invoices, allowing you to enter the date for each line item.
