Hello Community users :waving_hand: Just to add some additional comments to this thread. When you add a sales receipt in the banking section it will default the category to sales. f you want to change that you can add the transaction and then click into the sales receipt you have created and change it or you can create a sales receipt with a category in Quickbooks and then you can match that to the banking transaction.
Hello KarenGarrattley,
Welcome to the Community page,
So is this happening on your banking feed page?
If the entry on the banking page is showing, when you click on the entry, does it show a Categorise, Find match and record transfer account.
After you click on the entry, was the categorise option highlighted with a green color? If yes, can you input a customer name so that it would allocate to the desired customer's account.
Yes it's in the bank feed page. Yes, I can see categorise, find match and record transfer. The issue comes with the transaction type. If I select Deposit and select a customer, the transaction will not show on the customer's account. If I select Sales Receipt, it will appear on the customer's account, but there is no option to either select a catagory or a product code.
Thank you for getting back to us here in the Community, @KarenGarrattley. Let me share some insights about the Product/Service category.
When creating a Bank Deposit, the Product/Service will not show. It will only show when creating a Sales Receipt or an Invoice.
I'm also adding this article that you can check to learn more about Products and Services in QuickBooks Online: Add product and service items to QuickBooks Online.
If you have additional questions about the Product and Services category, leave a comment below. I'll be here to help you.
Hi Ethel
That's my point - the product/service does not show on a sales receipt from the bank feed.
