Thank you for posting here on the Community page. Allow me to share insight about this warning when entering a bill.
QuickBooks will not let you record transactions that contain:
- Two A/R accounts
- Two A/P accounts
- One A/R account and one A/P account
Saving these transactions will result to the message: Warning: You cannot use more than one A/R or A/P account in the same transaction.
To get rid of this error, let's check the account by going to the Item List page. It's possible the posting account of the item is under the A/P account (Income, Asset, or COGS).
- Go to the Lists menu,
- Select Item List.
- Right-click the item and select Edit.
- Go to the Account section and change when necessary.
- Click OK.
If the issue persists, I recommend running the verify and rebuild data utility to resolve data integrity issues.
