Google Pay transactions always named Google instead of useful info

This is a convenience issue more than anything. 

 

If you're going through transactions that have been made via Google Pay then the transaction field will always say "Google", and all the useful information that will allow you to categorise it is in the bank description field, which you have to expand with an extra click. This seems an inefficient way to list transactions as you're constantly having to expand transactions to see what they are.

 

Is it possible to have the transaction list display the bank description field without needing to expand the transactions first?

It's great to have you here today, MrBojangles. I've come to provide insights when handling transaction displays in your account. 

 

I understand how convenient it is to have the specific detailed information displayed on the transaction list without needing to expand the entry.

 

With QuickBooks, the program is dependent on the data or transactions imported from Google. With that, I recommend reaching out to the Google team to check and review how they can change the transaction sent from them to QuickBooks.

 

In addition to that, you may consider manually uploading your entries to ensure complete information is entered on each of your transactions.

Hi thanks for your reply, whilst I appreciate it I'm afraid it's not very useful. 

 

The whole point of paying for Quickbooks is for the convenience of automatic downloading of transactions from linked bank accounts, so expecting me to manually upload transactions seems to run completely counter to that. 

 

Yes, I could contact Google - or you guys could just improve your interface so it can provide more useful information without needing extra clicks?

 

A quick perusal of the forum reveals that I'm far from the only person to be disappointed with the usability, bugs, and interface of QB, and in my almost 10 years of using it I've barely seen any new/useful features added. Time for a change of software perhaps! I'd be grateful if other forum users could recommend some...

Also, just for clarification: Google do provide all the necessary information in their transaction data - it's you guys who choose to hide it behind an extra click for no apparent reason!
