What is exactly happening in regard to your automatic invoice reminders? Are you getting any errors messages or anything showing up? Could you provide us with more information on your issue please.

Nothing happens.  I have spoken with chat and they firstly advised to switch it off reset cache and try again. Nothing happened.  I spoke to chat again, they assured me all would be ok, but couldn't give clear indications of when it would work and we didnt actually do anything except switch it off and back on again. Was even referred to a supervisor.  All looks set up ok. Even got a colleague to use a different user and computer, but nothing happened.

Hi @accounts249 

 

Were you expecting a big siren or flashing lights on the screen as a reminder?

Me too!

Or, at the very least a notification on the little bell in the top corner?

No - that's only for nags/upsell from Intuit/QB I'm afraid.

 

All that seems to happen is a small TASKS area in GETTING THINGS DONE that links to Reminders.

Check https://app.qbo.intuit.com/app/reminders when logged in to see if the invoice is in there.

Thanks for your email.

 

I was expecting it to send our clients an email on the dates set up in the automatic system.  It has a Reminders icon on all the invoices now, but there are no invoices in the link to the recurring reminders list you sent.

 

Just not working. Very frustrating!

This isn't the kind of experience we want to leave you with, @accounts249.

 

I'll make sure this gets sorted out. I understand you've already contacted our Customer Care Support. However, it's best to contact them again. Our support representatives can create a ticket for you and investigate further.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Help.
  2. In the Search tab, select Contact Us.
  3. Enter a brief description of the issue, then tap Continue.
  4. Click Chat.

 

This way, you'll get an email notification whenever a resolution update is available.

 

In the main time, you'll want to send an invoice to your customers manually.

 

I'm also adding this link in case you need help managing customer-related tasks. It has our general customer topics with articles: Topics about your customer's income and customers.

It looks like I misunderstood Smiley Embarassed

I thought you were looking at automatic invoicing reminders via Recurring Templates.

You are actually talking about chasing customer for payment.  Apologies!

 

I don't use QBO's email system at all so can't give you anything helpful.

Hello Community Users! We can see that the invoices/invoice reminders not being received is less than ideal. This is a known issue our engineers are at present working to resolve. It is the highest priority for us. If you do experience this issue let us know and we'll make sure you're added to the investigation for those affected and contact you as soon as this is resolved. 

In the meantime, while the issue is being worked on by our engineering team please continue to use the below options, as a workaround: 

  • You can save your form as a PDF and send it via email through your business or other email address
  • (For invoices or estimates only) You can send your customer a link to their invoice or estimate through SMS or messenger service. Simply click on “save and share link” then select “copy link” and paste it into your SMS or messenger service.
  • If you have a Gmail or G-suite email account, you can use the Send with Gmail feature to send QBO forms from your own address following the steps in Use your Gmail address to send invoices (https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-uk/help-article/invoicing/use-gmail-address-send-invo...).
  • You can save your document as a PDF, print it, and send your customer their forms via mail

or

  • Customers -> select Invoices -> batch actions -> Print -> Save as PDF -> email from onw email service
  • Statement of open invoice -> Open Invoices report -> Print -> Save as PDF -> email from own email service

Hello Systematicnyc, thanks for posting on this thread, we are still currently working on resolving this issue, if you can do the workarounds already suggested for the meantime.

Has this been fixed yet?  I set up a dummy invoice so that we could see the automatic reminders feature in action but it isn't working.  I should have received the first auto reminder and it didnt happen.  Please advise.

Hello Dlsmcfall,  there was an inv on this but it has now been resolved. Did you make the invoice before turning on invoice reminders in the main settings?

Hi,

You need to send the invoice before reminders will work. Very frustrating as we do not send our invoices through quickbooks to clients, so have to send them to another email address and then change it to the clients email.  I hope this helps!
