Hi folks ... my app has stopped working properly. The link in invoice emails that forwards to my bank details isn't working. Any ideas as customer services not being very helpful!! Can anyone help?

I know how important it is to get your app working again, @Catherine Howes. Yes, I'm here to help you fix it, so the link in your invoice emails will function.

Here are the possible reasons the app isn't working properly:

  • The app's version is outdated.
  • The stored app data is full.

First, let's update the app to make sure we have the latest features and fixes. If you're using Android, refer to the steps below:

  1. Open the Play Store.
  2. Tap the Menu ⋮ icon.
  3. Select My apps & games.
  4. Hit Installed.
  5. Swipe down to find QBSE.
  6. Tap Updated. When it says Open, it means your app is up-to-date.

For iOS, perform the steps below:

  1. Open the App Store.
  2. Tap Today at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen.
  4. Scroll down to see pending updates and release notes.
  5. Tap Update next to the QBSE app.

Second, let's reset the app data to clear its cache. It helps restore the application to its default settings. This way, the link in your invoice emails that forwards to your bank details will function. If you're using Android, go to the More Options icon and select Settings. Tap Refresh Data and choose Yes. For iOS, go to the Menu and select Help & Feedback. Then, tap Refresh Data and click Refresh.

However, if the issue persists, I'd suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the app. It helps boost its performance so it'll function efficiently.

When you receive the customer payment, you can click Mark as paid in the Action column. The invoice will be automatically paid if you have a QuickBooks Payments account connected with QBSE. For more details, see this article's For you section: Sent Invoices Overview. It also contains other information about what happens for both you and your recipient when sending invoices through the program.

I'll be right here to help if you need anything else. Keep safe always. Stay healthy, @Catherine Howes.
