  1. Head to the Gear icon, then Chart of accounts.
  2. Locate the account and select Account history from the Action column.
  3. Click on the transaction to expand the view.
  4. Choose Delete, then Yes to confirm.

 

In addition, note that you can't delete account histories directly for some accounts like Debtors or Creditors. You need to open and delete entries one at a time. Just click More in the footer of the transaction page, select Delete, and then Yes to proceed.

 

On the other hand, if you want to clear all your account balances, which include removing other business data except product and customer information, consider deleting your entire data and starting over. However, ensure you export the lists you need beforehand. You can then import them after resetting your account. ah it says its 96 days old so i cant delete the information

the thing is if i cancel the subscription i got it at a discounted rate to test it before moving over from sage

 

is there any other way to do it?

I have some workaround without canceling your subscription, safjesani. Let me guide you on how to achieve this.

 

You can clear the balances by entering a Journal Entry. Please know that this will only remove the balances but the transactions will remain. I suggest consulting with your accountant to ensure that debits and credits are properly recorded so that your reports reflect accurate data.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the +New button, then select Journal entry.
  2. In the first line item, select the account the invoice was posted in the Account field, then enter the amount in the correct column.
  3. On the next line item, select the other account you're posting the transaction into, then enter the same amount in the opposite column.
  4. Enter information in the memo section to know why you made the journal entry.
  5. Select Save and new or Save and close.
