How do I add my utr number. To my invoice ?

Thanks for posting here, @marcusroberts300. I'm here to share options on how you can add your UTR number to the invoice.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can utilize the Message to customer on field to add your UTR number to the invoice. Once added, the information will automatically populate when you create an invoice. Let me guide you how:

  1. Sign in to your QBO account and click the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Custom form styles.
  3. From there, look for the invoice template you usually use and then, click Edit. You can also create a new one by selecting the New style button and choose Invoice.
  4. Once opened, go to the Content tab.
  5. Then, click the Footer section.
  6. In the Message to customer on field, enter your UTR number.
  7. When finished, select Done.
  8. To see the changes made, you can click the Preview PDF option.

For more information in customizing your invoice template, feel free to open this article: Customise invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Another option is to add a Custom field for your UTR number. Here's how to do it:

  1. Follow steps 1-4 from the instructions above.
  2. Then, select the Header section.
  3. Scroll down and click the Manage custom fields link.
  4. Select the Add custom field button.
  5. Enter "UTR number" in the Name field and check the box for All Sales forms.
  6. Once done, click Save.
  7. When you create an invoice, you'll have to manually enter the UTR number in the custom field added.

For your reference in adding custom fields in QBO, check out this link: How to add custom fields to sales forms and purchase orders.

You may also want to run the Accounts Receivable ageing summary report to have a list of your customers’ outstanding balances. This will show you how much are still due and how long they're past due.

I got your back if there's anything else you need about adding your UTR number to the invoice. Don't hesitate to post your reply below. Have a good one.
