How do I edit an invoice template when the option is missing from my menu and a link via help says the page I requested cannot be found?

I have an invoice template which I need to edit to update bank account details, but there is no option to do this. The help section on here points me to a page that it says cannot be found.

Hello, Dr. Jeff, and welcome to the QuickBooks Community forum. I'm here to assist you in successfully updating your bank details.

Since you mentioned that the option is missing from your menu, could you please share the specific steps you have tried so far? This information will help me better understand the issue and provide more accurate assistance.

While waiting for your response, we can modify the invoice template can be one by going to the Gear icon and picking the Custom form styles.

Once done, continue with these steps.

  1. Choose the invoice template you want to edit.
  2. In the Content tab, select the pencil on the bottom right to edit the footer section.
  3. In the Add payment details and footer section, update the bank details.
  4. Hit Done to reflect the changes.

However, if you followed the same steps I mentioned above and couldn't locate the Custom form style feature, and considering that the other page is not functioning correctly, we can take some steps to identify and isolate the cause of this issue.

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Microsoft Edge & Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Control Option P

If it works, return to your regular browser and clear its cache. You can also use a different browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari.

To add personalized and specific information to your sales forms, consider referring to this resource for further details: Customise invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Feel free to share any additional details or questions you have. I'll be more than happy to assist you further. My goal is to make your experience with QuickBooks as smooth and efficient as possible.

Hi,

Thanks for replying. The issue is that the that you mention, which I have followed, do no work. Specifically, when i do go “to the Gear icon and picking the Custom form styles.” I get the following come up:

“We’re sorry, we can’t find the page you requested”

Which is odd, seeing as the link is what is on the page.

Custom Form Styles is not an option on the ‘gear’ box.

Hey there, @DR-jefferies.

I have another step for you to access Custom form styles in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Before we proceed, could you kindly let us know the version of the product you're currently using? Additionally, providing a screenshot of the menu in the Gear icon section would be very helpful. This will allow us to offer you the appropriate troubleshooting steps and assist you in accomplishing your task.

Here's an alternative method to open the Custom form styles page:

  1. Click the Gear icon and select All lists.
  2. Look for the template you want to customize and click Edit.
  3. In the Add payment details and footer section, update the bank details.
  4. Select Done to reflect the changes.

Please add your details to this thread and I'll be more than happy to assist you back. Have a good one.
