This situation happens when the accounts are not properly configured. If you’re using a third-party app, I recommend checking the app settings to make the necessary adjustments. For mapping guidance, you can also reach out to the app’s support team by visiting its profile in the Support section.
In the case of open banking, QuickBooks will suggest categorization based on history. However, you can manually change it by going to the Pending tab on the Bank transactions page and clicking the dropdown field.
