I have been snapping receipts on quick books with no issues, however yesterday and today the app is no longer connecting to the camera. Any advice would be appreciated.

We are using android and there are not any pending updates showing for this app.

 Thanks matt-archerhomei, we've raised a reported issue for this as this is now impacting multiple users and we're tracking this on the following investigation: INV-85044 QBO Mobile App: Unable to use receipt snap. Error: "Camera Error. Cannot connect to camera.". Please await further updates on this via email. 🙇‍:female_sign:

Upon checking in our system, please know that our Engineers are already aware of this issue, and they're currently working on a fix. That said, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. This way, they can add you to the list of affected users, and you'll receive an email once a workaround is available. I'll write down the steps below to get you going.

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Click Help (?).
  3. Select either tab to get started:
  • Assistant: Get quick, personalized answers. Select a suggested option, or type a question or topic you need help with. If you decide you need further help, you can still Talk to a human.
  • Search: Search the QuickBooks Online knowledge base directly, or select Contact Us and choose a way to connect with us:
    • Start a chat with a support expert.
    • Get a callback from the next available expert.

 

Moreover, you can check this page to help you manage your receipts and match them to existing transactions inside QBO: Upload your receipts and bills to QuickBooks Online.
