I seem unable to import CSV files containing older transactions from Starling Bank.
I have removed extra columns so all I have is Date, Description, Amount
example first two rows of file:
Date,Description,Amount
10/2/2022,INVOICE,100.05
QuickBooks just says something went wrong - how do I do this?
TIA.
Hello AndyMitchellCS, thanks for posting on the Community page, did you save it as a CSV file type? Also it should be three separate columns so one column is date the next column is description and the next column is amount. Can you also try sign out and back in and try again and see if the same error shows up.
Hi, Yes it's a CSV file, the format of which is included in the original post.
Three columns:
date,description,amount
I have signed out and signed back in, but it still does not work.
Thanks for coming back to us could you please send us a Screenshot of the format of your file and also a screenshot of the page you get with the error coming up. if you do not feel comfortable posting the screenshots on here as everyone can see them please send us a DM/PM on Facebook or twitter with your issue and the screenshots so it can be looked into more for you thanks.
Hi,
I just tried again with the same file to get you a screenshot and it worked.
I have not edited the file but I guess you can close this ticket - did you change something on my account for this to work? I tried to upload this same file over 15 times and this is the first time it worked!
Thanks.
Hello Andy that is great to hear it has worked, no we have not touched your account at all. Glad it is all worked for you finally, I hope you have a lovely rest of an afternoon.
