I'm here to share some information about invoices that we're not sent from your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account, @little-miss-orch.
Our team is aware of the issue and is working to create a solution that will resolve it. We're now taking steps to address this problem. Please know that this is a top priority for us, and it will remain so until it is entirely fixed.
In the meantime, you can save your invoice as a PDF and send it via email through your business or other email address.
Here's how:
Once done, attach this file to the email that you'll be sending them outside QBO.
Refer to this article for more information about creating and sending the invoice: Create invoices in QuickBooks Online. This will guide you on how to review open invoices and notify customers about upcoming invoice due dates.
Once you've received their payments, see this reference on how to record them in your QBO account: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.
I'm always here if you need more help with your invoices in QBO. Just let me know by leaving a reply below. Stay safe and have a great rest of the day!
Same happening to me @little-miss-orch though I believe the invoices are still being sent but just shows in QB as not sent.
The app is useless to tell at the moment but if you login through website it’ll tell you it has actually been sent.
NOT that we should have to do this!!!!
I hope QB resolves this soon or I shall be seeking compensation
It's almost 2025 I have this problem is there still no fix?

The last update I received on this issue in June 2024 was “it is an enhancement project to make the IOS app show the correct status of sent, or not sent”.
It’s beyond pathetic how long (over 12 months on occasion) it takes some seemingly simple bugs to be fixed (speaking about the IOS app in my experience).
Ignoring this particular bug, I feel Quickbooks is heading towards a Post Office scandal with duplicate transactions (eg payment of invoice duplicated, invoice duplicated occasionally when using mobile app).
To think HMRC wants to trust digital / MTD data. If only they knew it’s not exactly accurate. Maybe I’ll pull my finger out and write to Craig Ogilviehim at HMRC in January when I’m back in the office.
For the avoidance of doubt, I realise software will always have bugs, and it’s amazing how well it works when it does, but let’s be honest about when it goes wrong.

Thank you for being a valued QuickBooks customer and for your patience while our teams worked on the behavior you have encountered with sent invoices showing as overdue / not sent in QuickBooks Online iOS app.
The engineering team have now completed their investigation and have advised at this time that the resolution to the behaviour you are experiencing will need to be treated as and included in an enhancement project.
We do not have a time frame available for enhancement projects but please rest assured that this will be prioritised against ongoing work.
In the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out to our support team for any additional queries.
There will not be any additional updates provided regarding this investigation.
