Hi Peter, thanks for joining the Community.
QuickBooks will auto-categorize transactions in your for-review bank feed based on information previously entered. You can turn this off when signed in on the web by navigating to Transactions > For review > Select the small cog > Untick 'enable suggested categorisation'. Hope this helps!
That’s not the problem! The problem is that QBO now automatically opens the detail part of the next transaction when I save one, meaning I now have the extra step of closing it to get back to the list of transactions to match.
Welcome back, Peter.
I'd love to help you with your concern about the detail part of the next transaction that automatically loads. May I know what transactions are you referring to? Are referring to the bank transactions? Can you tell me what you are trying to do? Any additional information could help us provide the best resolution to your issue.
Please know that the Community forum is always open to help you with your QuickBooks concerns. Wishing you all the best!
Banking | Banking | Select account with downloaded transaction waiting to be matched or added | modify and add the transaction...
When adding a transaction, QBO would normally return to the Transactions For Review grid but yesterday it was automatically loading the detail edit screen of the next transaction, which meant I had to close it to get back to the For Review grid to select the next transaction I wanted to add or match.
II have just checked and the functionality has reverted back to normal since yesterday!
So this is no longer an issue to be resolved, although I would question why QBO allow deleveopers to make changes like this, only to be reverted back again a day or two later? More consistency would be much appreciated!
Hi peter-colson, thanks for the update - I'm pleased to hear this is now working as usual. As we weren't made aware of any changes to the banking page by our devs, this change may have been caused inadvertently. If you do experience any further issues with this, please get back to us here so we can explore further.
