Is anyone else having problems with editing transactions? It’s not working on my app

Hi @louiseoriordan76,

 

Thank you for posting here in the Community. I can help you edit transactions in the Self-Employed app.

 

You can perform some basic troubleshooting to isolate and fix the issue. I suggest you start with updating the app to the latest version.

 

It will help ensure the software is up-to-date and have the latest features and fixes. If you have an android device, here's how:

 

  1. On your device, open the Google Play store.
  2. On the home screen, select the Menu ☰ icon.
  3. Select My apps & games.
  4. In the Updates tab, find and select the QuickBooks Self-Employed app. Note: if you don’t see the QuickBooks Self-Employed app in the Updates tab, your app is already up to date.
  5. Select Update.

 

For iOS, you can follow these steps:

 

  1. On your device, open the App Store.
  2. Select the Today tab, then select your profile.
  3. In the Available updates section, look for the QuickBooks Self-Employed app.
  4. If you see the option, select Update.

 

You can also refresh the app data of your QuickBooks to clear the cache. The option is visible from the settings of the app.

 

If the issue continues, uninstall and reinstall the app. You can follow the steps below after removing the app on your device.

 

To install using an iOS device:

 

  1. Open the App Store on your device and search for QuickBooks Self-Employed.
  2. Choose Free, then Install.
  3. Open the app.
  4. Log in using your existing login credentials.

 

For Android, please follow these steps:

 

  1. Open Google Play on your device and search for QuickBooks Self-Employed.
  2. Select Install.
  3. Open the app.
  4. Log in using your existing login credentials.

Is anyone else having problems with editing transactions? It’s not working on my app

Hi @AlcaeusF 

 

thank you for your response. I have tried all of those steps (first thing I did before posting here was uninstalling and reinstalling the app) but nothing has worked. I have been able to to edit transactions for the last few years but I am unable to since the weekend (see attached I can’t even access the edit function). 

The app is up to date already. I was not able to clear the cache, it seems that option to refresh data is not available in my settings

I understand that you've already tried the recommended troubleshooting steps for the Self-Employed app. Since it's not working still, please contact our Customer Care Support so we can investigate further. Here's how to reach out:

  1. Go to Help.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter a brief description of the issue, then tap Continue.
  4. Click Chat.

 

Meanwhile, you'll want to access your account using supported browsers to edit your transactions.

 

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox. 
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Safari 11 or newer (Mac only)
