This morning I started to enter some bills, only to find that when I use the keyboard shortcut - Ctrl-Alt-s - the curser is directed to the TAG box instead (I don't use TAGS but we can't turn it off anymore) with the last saved clipboard image (attachment shows that the last clipboard I used was the QBO web address). Is this a glitch or just another way to try to push us to use TAGS? I have tried this in both Chrome and Firefox browsers.
If Intuit has altered the shortcuts, can someone let me know how to save a bill without having to scroll down to the bottom right hand "Save" box every time?
Hello Shelia, Were you in a transaction when you used that shortcut or on the dashboard? The shortcut list has not changed form what we can see , could we ask you to try in a private window on the browser in case that is a visual error? Thanks
Hi Emma.
I was within the Bills transactions ( +New / Bill). I had entered the bill details and pressed my usual Ctrl / Alt / s.
I have just opened an Incognito TAB in Chrome, logged into QBO and tried the same, and the same thing happens. The shortcut just opens the floating TAG box with the last saved clipboard image.
Hi SheilaMcC, so we have tested it on our side and it has allowed us to save the bill using the ctrl alt s so it could only be something that is installed on your computer that is overrides it. Do you have another computer/laptop to try it on and see what happens for you.
I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. I ENTER THE CATAGORY, DESCRIPTION, AMOUNT, CUSTOMER/PROJECT, TAB PAST THE TRASH CAN AND BEFORE OPENING THE NEXT LINE (BECAUSE THERE IS NO NEXT TRANSACTION, I TRY THE SHORTCUT CTRL+ALT+S AND MY CURSER ENDS UP AT THE TOP LEFT HAND CORNER WHERE YOU CAN REVIEW THE BILLS YOU'VE ENTERED. IT WAS WORKING FINE UNTIL THE UPDATE LAST NIGHT. BECAUSE I WAS ABLE TOP USE THE SHORTCUT YESTERDAYBEFOR THE UPDATE, I BELIEVE THE UPDATE CAUSED THIS PROBLEM.
We appreciate you for joining this thread, @njtaylor24. We see that the Ctrl+Alt+S shortcut key should route you to review your bills. However, it doesn't function the way it should, and we understand where you're coming from. Let me share some insights about this concern.
At the moment, there's no existing investigation into this issue. In the meantime, let's perform some troubleshooting steps to determine if this is a browser-related issue.
Let's start by opening your QBO account via incognito mode to avoid storing cache data. Accumulated data from your regular browser may cause odd behaviors while navigating QBO. We can use the shortcut keys below as shortcuts:
Then, try to use the shortcut key. If this works, clear the cache of your regular browser to remove accumulated data. If the issue persists, you can use another supported browser or device. It might be that the current one you're using has a temporary issue with the program.
Moreover, if you're utilizing the QBO mobile app, you can click this article: Fix common errors in the QuickBooks Online mobile app for Android.
However, if the issue persists, we recommend contacting QBO Live support to review your account and give you the correct resolution.
