Hello Community,
I need to connect my Barclays Personal account to my Quickbooks from 6 April 2020, but I can only connect it back to early February 2021.
Can anyone help me understand why this is or how I can achieve the link back to 6 April 2020?
Your help would be very much appreciated!
Thanks, Billy.
Does your bank offer any file formats for download? e.g csv, qbo, pdf
Hello. Thanks for your reply. Yes, I’m told I can download as csv files. What do I do then?
We can only bring the last 90 days of your transactions, @billy. That's why we're unable to pull transactions from your Barclays personal account since 2020.
As per Fiat, you can download a file from your bank's website and manually import it into QuickBooks. This way, we can add the transactions from the previous years. Since your bank offers a CSV file, we can use that.
Here's how:
Feel free to read about manually importing older transactions. This will walk you through picking a start date and ensuring you're using the correct format before uploading it.
Once done, let's review and match them to the existing entries in QuickBooks to keep your account updated. For a step-by-step guide, you can refer to this article: Categorise online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
I'd also recommend reconciling your transactions accordingly. This will help you monitor your income or expenses and detect all possible errors. See this reference for the process: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
Please know that you can always ask follow-up questions or create a new thread if you need anything else. We're always here to help you manage your transactions. Have a great day.
