Missing Transactions and CSV files

Hi all,

I don't know what has happened to Quickbooks lately but its become unreliable in transaction downloads.

The issue I'm having is that transactions are shown as pending then simply disappear. I have searched all the types and ruled transactions. They simply are not there.

I have re-connected with the bank, given consent and switched the account on and off. Nothing seems to work.

So I download the CSV file to find the missing transactions. Quickbooks say my 106kb file exceeds their 100kb limit!

Very frustrating.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thinking of changing to other software as I am wasting so much time finding and failing at solving issues.

Thanks.

Missing Transactions and CSV files

Hello, @Mike C9.

I'll be glad to give you the steps for recovering your missing bank transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

The link between your bank and the QBSE may have been disconnected. As a result, you have missing transactions. I suggest manually importing them into QBSE. Please follow the steps below:

  1. Click the Gear icon, then select Imports under TRANSACTIONS.
  2. Select the Import older transactions link.
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions to upload the CSV file, then click Import.

You can read this article for more details about manually importing transactions in QBSE: Manually import transactions into QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Once you're done, go to the Transactions menu and categorize your imported transactions. This way, QuickBooks puts them on the correct line of your Schedule C.

Also, you may want to check out one of our Help pages as your reference to guide you in managing your bank transactions and connectivity in QBSE: Banking Help for QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I'm all ears if you have other banking concerns or questions about managing transactions in QBSE. Drop a comment below, and I'll gladly help. Take care, and have a great day,
