My clients are receiving the emailed invoice link. But when they try to open the invoice, it is saying invoice not available?"

I'll make sure your clients can view their emailed invoices, @ahplumbingandpro.

 

I've got a few workarounds that we can perform to isolate this issue. I recommend sending a test invoice to your email and check if you're able to view it. If you have, you'll want to resend the invoice to them. 

 

If they still can't view it, have them open a private or incognito window and access the invoice from there. This way, we can check if this is a browser-related issue.

 

The browser uses cache and cookies to swiftly load web pages faster. Too much of it causes unusual behaviour. Using a private window helps us verify the issue as this doesn't save any cache files. 

 

To open an incognito window, please refer to these keyboard shortcuts: 

 

  • Press keys: Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome browser)
  • Press keys: Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox & Microsoft Edge browsers)
  • Press keys: Command + Shift + N (Safari browser) 

 

If they're able to open the invoice, have them clear their regular browser's cache to refresh the system. If the issue remains, I recommend using other supported browsers. This way, we can check if this is a browser-integrated issue. 

 

On the other hand, if you're unable to view the test invoice you've sent to your email, I suggest contacting our support team. This way, they can securely look into your account and investigate this matter.

All my clients are having the same issue, it appears to be a recent problem. I have clicked on the returned link and I also can't open the invoices.

At this time, we have an ongoing investigation about not being able to view the invoice in QuickBooks Self-Employed. Rest assured, this is taken with utmost urgency and they’re working towards finding a permanent solution.

 

I recommend contacting our Customer Care team so they can add you to the list of affected users. This way, you'll receive updates as soon as a permanent fix is available.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right-hand corner.
  2. Type in "Talk to a human", then press Enter.
  3. Look for I still need a human and click on it.
  4. Click Get help from a human or Contact Support Team.
  5. Select between Send a messageSchedule an appointment, or Get a callback.

 

You may check our support hours first to ensure that we address your concerns on time.
