My emailed invoices are not being received by my customers

Hi Ashleigh, are you able please to provide us with an update? Has there been any progress in getting this issue resolved? It is approaching a year now I've been experiencing the problem and it takes double the time it should to do invoicing.

 

Please update the community.

Hello Tim A, thanks for posting on this thread, If either of these don’t resolve your issue still,   'Fix undelivered invoices in QuickBooks Online' and '3 solutions for you when customers aren't receiving your emails. please contact our support line on either chat or phone 0808 234 5337, So you can be added onto the new investigation as it is company specific investigation thanks.

hi Ashleigh, this is the response from Chat: Since, as I checked it here all investigation under undelivered invoice are already close.

 

This issue is by no means closed for me and many others. Can you escalate this for me please?

We'd be grateful if you could reach back out to our support team quoting the investigation reference INV-82727 - this will ensure that you're added to the correct one and notified of updates via email.

I’m the same.  This thread shows as issue bing solved when in reality it is far from solved !  It’s so frustrating and the workaround options are obvious but alas don’t answer why the subscription is being taken in full for a service that’s not got for purpose

Is it because this thread has "solved" written in the header that Helpline staff think its actually solved? We think the thread should be labelled "under investigation"

 

So howabout, add to the name of this thread, text along the lines of (Contact QB helpline and quote ref  INV-82727 if you are experiencing this issue, to let us know and you will be added to the cases. Not all customers are affected.). Or alternatively instruct staff to reply to comments on this thread using the above text, to prompt people to phone in so QB gets a better idea of the scale of the problem, otherwise your customers will think (as I did initially), if they post on here, QB will listen and resolve the issue within a couple of weeks which patently isn't happening. We are almost up to 12 months now of waiting for a fix.

I have seen repeated emails and threads asking me to call a number if I’m still having issues. I am, and I don’t have time to sit on hold to a help team waiting for them to just try and tell me that I’ve set something up wrong or to try switching it off and back on again. Ihave reset the app, installed every update and tried multiple things to rectify it. If it was set up incorrectly, it would not deliver ALL invoices, not just some, so it’s clearly an app problem, and a QuickBooks problem. When your are paying for a service, having to wait over a year for a solution to a simple problem, is quite frankly unacceptable. Considering the subscription is increasing in price too, I think it might be time to move to another invoicing and accounting solution, as it’s clear that the objective is to draw as many subscribers without actually putting effort into the service.

I don’t have time to call and wait. Just fix it! It can’t be hard to just send the invoices out without having to mess around! You don’t need to “log” anything, this thread and the many complaints against the app on the App Store is clear evidence that the fault is still occurring and needs rectifying.

They've admitted what the problem is in the summer last year, which was actually identified by someone on the USA forums. Basically the quickbooks.com email has been flagged as a spamming email address by several of the large security providers to some of the internet providers. It's taken them a over a year not to address the problem which could be fixed by letting QBO users use their own email addresses directly from their online service which is could have been been done by now.
 
Anyone thinking that Intuit are going to fix this then you should look for another service which works.

Erm Hello! I am in the same boat as you. On here you are mainly talking to others in the same boat or QB help staff paid to post work arounds . If you want to get anything changed the help staff just told us we need to phone the help desk and quote the INV number, instead of just telling each other on a forum we all have the same problem. The forum is fine for simple fixes but this issue is massive and they won't put money into fixing it if they don't know the scale of the problem - so we need to tell them. I'm never on hold for long when I call but not all the Helpline staff have been briefed on this issue. What we know is (1) it affects some customers and not others (2) its due to QB invoice emails being blocked at server(ISP) level by the recipient so the receipient never receives the email, not to their spam or anywhere else ; and (3) some sales invoices get through to a particular customer and some don't , depending on whther QB IT engineers have got their intuit domain re-instated as safe again or whether the bots have shut it down again, which means lots of work reconciling to figure out whcih invoices they are short of.

It’s not fixed though, is it?! They’re still not going through, which is causing issues. And now instead of fixing it, you’ve started charging me 25% more on my monthly payments - how can this be justified?!

Are you in the U.K.? I called the number I found for customer services, and it just gave me a recorded message to go online (web address), then hung up on me! I’m furious. This has been going on for months, and now I’m paying more too!

If you don't mind starting from scratch, purchase a new one time license for QB Desktop 2019 + a 3rd party MTD bridging app (if required). Otherwise, switch to another accounting app and purchase a 3rd party conversion service.

This has been a problem for me as well and is only getting worse by the day.  Is there any updates on when this will be fixed?  It is becoming embarrassing.

how do you know if you are still having issues ? wing it ... start sending invoices directly from QB  - wait a month to see if you get paid and then find out the customer hasn't received the invoice

Why should I waste yet more time trying to call or chat? Why did QB decide to treat this thread as resolved when it clearly is not?

Yes still having issues. 

Can you not simply add our details from here? 

By making it company specific is that an attempt to hide the problem? 

Sorry if this sounds negative but QB have had a year to fix this.

Agree, this is still not resolved. I went on to chat and after several confused messages from the respondent who was telling me they weren't aware of the issue or it had been resolved I managed to persuade them that it hadn't and to add me to a specific case number I'd been supplied.

 

However, I've heard nothing since and that was about 3 months ago...

Tim confirms precisely my point Ashleigh - your own staff are usually confused/unaware of the problem and seemingly calling them is a waste of time.

QB know what the issue is - some more technically minded on here have gone into detail - and a fix could be to allow customers to use their domain to send the invoices but QB seem unwilling to do that.

It is also not just a customers work email address that is not receiving the estimate or invoice their personal gmail and yahoo email addresses are not receiving them after sending several times.  It makes me look unprofessional in business that something so simple is not working.

@Ashleigh1as agreed with my QBO manager, my affected clients are no longer paying thier monthly QB fees while we await a solution - is QB able to operate like this with some of its customers just not paying? We want to pay. We want a product that works.This is all so depressing. I have a big new client and I am looking at putting them on Sage because I am scared to recommend QBO

Please can you at least tell us what progress you are making?
