P & L does not match invoice payments received, help anyone? (transactions shown until 6/6/19 then nothing until 4/1/20)

P & L does not match invoice payments received, help anyone? (transactions shown until 6/6/19 then nothing until 4/1/20). The graph on the P & L page also reflects this. I've done random checks om the invoices and they all appear to be set up correctly and paid, can anyone advise why they are not showing in my P & L? Thanks in advance.

Hello Tara18,

To show on the Profit and Loss the invoices should be posting to an income account. The income account on the invoice is linked to the product/service selected - please confirm that the product/services selecteed on these invoices are posting to an income account by going to Sales > Products and Services > Edit > Income account. If these are not currently posting to an income account, you can edit this here by changing the account on the drop-down and checking the box which appears below to 'Also update this account in historical transactions'.

Get back to us below if this does not explain the discrepancy!

Hi Tara18,

Apologies my advice above would be for QucikBooks Online, as you are using QuickBooks Self-Employed, the invoces are none-posting, meaning and invoices payments would not show on the reports and PL. The income recieved from the invoices should be recorded seperately on the 'Transactions' tab by creating a transaction to the category 'Business Income'.

Again, get back to us below if this does not resolve your issue :D
