Reconcilation

Hi,

I have reconciled my 2020 accounts and all match.

However, the balance in quickbook and my bank balance have a discrepancy of £2083 more in quickbooks.

Looking at my reconciliation summary, there are 2 transaction that total that amount under:

Uncleared deposits and other credits as of 31/12/2020 (received payments)

1 for 625 & 1 for 1458. If I delete these or the bills that I have created for them, will this upset the reconciliation?

Thanks all for your help.

Reconcilation

Hi Kennels9, thanks for your post :)

Uncleared means that these have not yet been reconciled, you can verify this by locating the transactions within the Chart of Account register (Accounting > Chart of Accounts > Select 'Account history' beside the bank account that these are posting to) and using the filter icon to the left to narrow down the date range.

Once you've located the transactions in this list, view the ':heavy_check_mark:' column - if this appears blank or with a 'C', it has not been reconciled. If these are duplicate transactions or simply do not belong in your books you can go ahead and delete these and this won't disturb your completed reconciliations.
