Snapped Receipts sometimes don’t appear in QB online - Transactions / receipts list. Even though I know I’ve snapped them in the app, waited for them to upload.

The app confirms upload by saying QB is now extracting information from your receipt. But then when I later browse to the receipts list some appear to be missing.
Is there a log file of receipt snap uploads? Or failed uploads?

Hello, sash3. I have a trick to help you see the snapped receipts in the transaction in QBO.

I want to assist you in figuring out why a snap receipt isn't showing up in the QuickBooks transactions and receipts list. When you upload snapped receipt files in QuickBooks, and they don't show in the transaction list, there is no way to check the status or log of the files to see if they've already been uploaded or failed.

But sometimes, when you use an app, it stores temporary data in its cache, which helps to speed up your experience and avoid unnecessary data usage. However, when the cache becomes full, it can cause issues with the app's performance, resulting in unusual responses and errors like snap receipts failing to show up.

To resolve this, you need to clear your app's data, which will remove all temporary files and cache data. This action refreshes the system and forces the app to rebuild its cache from scratch. This should eliminate any older files or data causing the issue and restore your app's performance to its original state.

If you're using an Android device, here's how:

  1. Go to the More icon at the top right corner of the screen.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Choose Refresh Data and tap Yes.

If you're using an iOS device, here's how:

  1. From your device's Settings, select Setting General iPhone Storage.
  2. Choose an app that's taking up a lot of space.
  3. To free up the storage without deleting the documents and data for the app, select Offload App.

After completing the task, Open your QBO account and check whether the receipt snap is visible on the transactions and receipts list. This will help you ensure that the job has been completed successfully. If you cannot see the receipt snap, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

Please let me know if you have questions about the receipt snap feature. I'll get back to you with further information as soon as possible. Have a wonderful day!
