Classifications of the downloaded transactions (spent and received) are dependent on your financial institution. May I know your bank so I can check if we have open investigation about this?
Meanwhile, you can exclude them and manually upload the CSV file in QBO to correct your transactions and recordings.

I have attempted your remedy by excluding transactions from one of the CSV files i had downloaded and then re-downloading it. Again the transactions went into the incorrect column.
I should say that all of the transactions were downloaded from CSV files from my bank. I have checked all of the files and they're all the same, apart from the transactions figures obviously, however some of the transactions have gone into the correct column and some have not. There doesn't seem any consistancy to this problem. Please help
