Trying to sort my template out for estimates? when i write everything down in the description box and send it to email it goes down one side? what am i doing wrong?

I appreciate your effort in customizing your template in Estimate, Adams. To address your concerns about the content displayed after sending the estimate and the information included in the description box, could you please provide a screenshot? This will help me better understand the issue and offer you precise steps for resolution.

To remove everything except for the description in the estimate, please follow these step-by-step instructions.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the top right corner of your QuickBooks Online dashboard.
  2. Under Your Company, select Custom Form Styles.
  3. Locate the estimate template you want to adjust. Click the drop-down arrow next to Edit, and select Make Default.
  4. Setting a custom form style as the default for estimates in QuickBooks Online ensures that all new estimates use this template automatically, providing consistency and saving time by removing the need to manually select the template for each estimate.
  5. Click Edit. In the template editor, navigate to the Content tab.
  6. You will see a diagram of your template. Click on Date, Activity, Description, QTY, Rate, and Amount.
  7. Uncheck or choose to hide any elements or sections that you do not need, keeping only the description box.
  8. Always preview your template to ensure it looks right. If satisfied, save your changes.

Additionally, to customise estimates in QuickBooks Online, you can refer to this article for guidance: Customise invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks.

Furthermore, once you create the estimate, you have the option to convert it to an invoice, as outlined in step 3 of converting an estimate to an invoice in QuickBooks Online.
