Why can't I see a project straight away when it has been added? If I want to add an estimate/invoices to a newly added job it often does not appear

This will likely be a cache/browser issue causing a delay. If it is not appearing we would advise to try clearing your cache and cookies - it should then show.
You have clicked a link to a site outside of the QuickBooks or ProFile Communities. By clicking "Continue", you will leave the community and be taken to that site instead.
