Hello there, @Blaggy3780. I got steps you can follow in including the Armed Forces Pension you received.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu.
  2. Click on Add transaction.
  3. Enter a short description of the transaction.

  4. Enter other necessary information.

With regard to choosing whether it's a Business or Personal type and what Category to use, I'd recommend consulting your accountant so they can provide expert advice and be guided on how to properly record this. If you don't have one, feel free to visit this page: Find an accountant or bookkeeper near you.

You can also refer to this article to know more about the allowable expenses for the Self Assessment tax return and which SA103F box numbers they fall under: Allowable and disallowable expenses explained.

Additionally, should you need to have a glimpse of your taxes, you can pull up either the Tax Summary or Tax details reports in QBSE by going to the Reports menu and clicking on View or Download. These reports show your taxable business profit (income minus deductions) and totals for Schedule C and healthcare deductions in a specific tax year.

Keep your post coming if you've got additional questions about recording taxed pensions in QBSE. I'll be right here to assist you further. Take care.
