Hi. I'm changing my VAT reporting date. I report quarterly and my next return would have been for Dec, Jan and Feb. However, with my change of date, I'm now going to have to report for 4 months once - Dec, Jan, Feb and Mar.
How do I do this and make sure that all 4 months are reported. Thanks

HI Trevor, In that case, go to VAT > FILE VAT > and there are 2 options. FILE VAT MTD and FILE VAT. Select FILE VAT, you will get a pop up they need to accept, and then on the page after that, you can set the dates where it has the calendar you would have to do manually as there are only annual, monthly, bi-monthly,quarterly, and bi-annual options
Hello Trevorwood, Can we confirm are you filing by MTD or doing an XML filing for your VAT?
I have been filing by XML. I'll be changing that after this next VAT return which is one of the reasons I'm changing my VAT period. The other is so that it aligns with my tax year

OK, thanks. I don't have the MTD option as I'm using the Desktop version of Quickbooks but I can see where I change the date so all should be OK. Thanks
