I know a way on how you can delete previous data of your company file, @rimmer-n-sky-com.
Let me discuss the details so you can achieve your tasks.
In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can delete all of the data in your file if it is been active within 90 days of signup. If more than that, the option you can take is to cancel your subscription and create a new company. Here's how:
Delete the data of your 90-day old account
- Login to your QBO Company.
- Next, edit the URL to include /purgecompany. Example: Change https://app.qbo.intuit.com/app/homepage to https://app.qbo.intuit.com/app/purgecompany
- You'll be routed to the screen that will provide a summary of the items to delete. Type YES to delete the data.
- Then, click OK.
Reset the data of your account that is more than 90 days old
- In your QBO account, go to the Settings icon and choose Account and Settings.
- Next, click Billing & Subscription.
- Then, select Cancel Subscription.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process.
- Once finished, you can now create a new account.
