Hi there, @adam63.
The browser's memory storage may have saved many internet files that cause QuickBooks to get an error message.
In this case, I'd suggest signing in QuickBooks Online in an incognito/private browser. This mode frees the browser from internet files.
Open a supported browser and then use its shortcuts:
- Google Chrome: Press Ctrl + Shift + N
- Mozilla Firefox: Press Ctrl + Shift + P
- Microsoft Edge: Press Ctrl + Shift + P
From there, open QuickBooks and then submit the VAT return. If this works, clear the regular browser's cache to free up memory space. It will boost browser performance and run QuickBooks faster.
You can also use other supported browsers that I've mentioned above.
If the issue persists, contact our Chat Support Team to open a ticket and investigate this further. From there, they have tools to pull up your account and able to see your experience via share screen.
Here's how:
- Sign in to QuickBooks Online.
- Go to the Help menu.
- Select Contact Us to connect with a live support agent.
- Then type a short query and then press Let's talk.
- Choose to Start a chart.
