Iam not vat registered So how do I turn off vat in my books Thanks

Welcome to the Community, @heclough-hotmai. I'm here to help you turn off your VAT concerns. 

1. Click on the company Settings.
2. Select Account and Settings.
3. Click Advanced, then under the Accounting section, click the edit icon.
4. Change Default tax rate selection to No VAT.
5. Select Save and Done.
