It’s great to see you in the Online Community, jeremy-clark.

Let me help you get past the error, so you can process the VAT seamlessly.

I checked with my resources and didn’t find any open tickets similar to your concern. The error you're getting could be the result of too much data stored in your browser.

To isolate the issue, let’s perform some browser troubleshooting steps. First, set up the connection to HMRC using a private window or Chrome’s New incognito.

Private browsing blocks websites from restoring data and is a good place to start to see if the error is caused by the cache. Here are the keyboard shortcuts for each browser:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Internet Explorer: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If you can successfully submit the payment, open your regular browser and clear the cache. This process will help improve the overall performance of the application.

Once done, you should now be able to submit the VAT to the HMRC.

Please keep me posted on if you're able to successfully get past the error message. I'm still here if you need further assistance.
