Where do I record each sales?

Thanks for providing in-depth details about your concern, @britannia0305-ou. I'm here to share the updated process to record your daily QuickBooks Online (QBO) sales.

To report daily sales in QuickBooks without invoicing customers, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to Customers.
  2. Select New customer and enter "Daily Sales" in the Customer display name field.
  3. Set up accounts in the Chart of Accounts and create a "Daily Sales" account with a $0 balance as a clearing account.
  4. Set up items in the Products & Services List, including creating a bundle for daily sales items.
  5. Obtain your daily sales totals from your point of sale system, including sales, sales tax, tips, gift cards, and amounts collected.
  6. Enter a Sales Receipt in QuickBooks Online, specifying the customer, date of sale, payment method, and "Deposit to" account.
  7. Select the "Daily Sales-Bundle" from the Product/Service list to automatically populate all daily sales items.
  8. Enter the corresponding amounts for total sales income, sales tax, tips payable, gift cards sold or redeemed, cash received, and checks received.

By following these steps, you can efficiently record your daily sales in QuickBooks Online without invoicing customers.

Once done, you can open this article for detailed information: Record your total daily sales in QuickBooks Online.

Furthermore, concerning your daily deposit, you can match it directly to the multiple sales receipts recorded to avoid duplicates.

I'm only a post away if you need additional guidance with recording your daily sales in QBO. I'll be right here to help you again. Stay safe!
