Hi,
I'm sure it's nothing that I've done, but when I open the detailed VAT report, instead of box 1 (vat due on sales and other outputs) being at the top of the report, it starts with box 6 (net value of sales), working it's way backwards, with box 1 at the bottom. I just can't work out how to set it so that it starts with box 1, like before.
Does anyone have any solutions please? Maybe this is happening to everyone right now?
Many thanks.

Many thanks for your reply. I knew that the VAT calculations were correct, so I wasn't worried about that, but it's good to know that you're aware of the glitch. I'm sure it'll get sorted soon.
Thanks again.
Hi there, @Neil_123.
Yes, we have an ongoing issue where customers, like you, having problems with the order of boxes showing in the Vat Detail Report. Our product team is aware of this and is currently all hands on deck working to resolve this as soon as possible.
Rest assured the figures in your VAT return are still accurate and this does not impact any other reports associated with VAT. While the workaround is not yet available, I recommend contacting our Customer Care Support.
One of our specialists can pull up your account, on file, and link your email address to the said investigation so you'll receive all updates whenever available. You can do so by following the steps below:
On that note, I also would like to inform you that our online support for the phone channel is unavailable for the bank holiday due to the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Here's an article you can read to learn more about the best schedule to connect with us: Contact QuickBooks Online Support.
For now, I'm including this reference so you're able to use all the features and functions of VAT in QuickBooks: Value Added Tax in QuickBooks Online. You're able to read subtopics and articles that will describe how a feature is used and how to accomplish tasks related to its functions.
We appreciate your patience as we're working on this matter. Please let me know in the comments below if you have any other QuickBooks questions. Take care and stay safe!

Hi,
I just wanted to let you know that the problem with the incorrect order of the VAT boxes is still persisting! Do you know when this will get sorted out? I need to provide a VAT report to the director in a couple of days, so it would be good if it was working by then.
Thanks!
Hello Neil_123, thanks for that information, the investigation onto this is still being worked on, we don’t currently have an time frame of when it will be resolved but like I say the engineers are working on getting it resolved as soon as possible for our customers.
Thanks for your reply. It's not fault of course! I'm intrigued though. I do computer programming myself. This strikes me as a very simple thing that would take a matter of minutes to resolve for an experienced programmer. I wonder what's happening behind the scenes!
