Great having you join us here in the Community and share your concerns. I'd be delighted to assist you so you can seamlessly link your bank account to QuickBooks Online.

 

We can update your online banking credentials so the system can establish a new connection to your bank. You can disconnect and then reconnect the bank with the current link. Make sure to add, match, and categorize any pending transactions before performing the process.

 

Usually, if the bank changes its URL, it may take a day or more before the connection is restored when you start working.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Banking.
  2. Under Bank and Credit Cards, select your bank account.
  3. Select Edit ✎.
  4. Click Edit sign-in info.
  5. Manually enter the user ID and password for your bank account.
  6. Select Update.

 

Once you have linked your account, the latest transactions will be downloaded automatically. Your task is to simply match them with the existing entries in QBO. This ensures that you avoid duplicates and maintain an updated account. For a detailed guide, please refer to this article: Categorise and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

 

If you have tried all the options to match your bank's name and still cannot add it, you will need to request support from your financial institution. You can find detailed steps in Step 3 of this article. Find your bank or credit card account when you connect to online banking.

 

Also, I'd recommend reconciling your accounts every month. This is to effectively monitor your income and expenses, and detect any possible errors. For the step-by-step guide, refer to this article: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Thank-you Lolly for help. Actually there are 2 category of the bank website that's cater for personal and business banking and the one link to the accant found to be personal one so it couldn't link into it. So I will wait for you to support me by adding the link into it so I can reconnect with the user n ID.

We can connect multiple businesses and personal bank accounts to keep your business information up to date in QuickBooks. If you are trying to connect your personal bank account to Online banking, just follow the steps below:

 

  1. Go to select Transactions, then select Bank transactions (Take me there).
  2. If this is the first bank account you’ve set up, choose Connect account. Or select Link account if you already created one.
  3. Search for your bank. You can connect with most banks, even small credit unions. If you can’t find your bank but still want to add your transactions to QuickBooks Online, you can also manually upload bank transactions.
  4. Sign into your bank by entering your banking username and password. Then select Continue.
  5. Follow the on-screen steps to connect. Your bank may require additional security checks. It may take a few minutes to connect.
  6. Choose any accounts you want to connect like, your savings, checking, or credit card. Then choose the matching account type from your chart of accounts in QuickBooks.
  7. Select how far back you want to download transactions. Some banks let you download the last 90 days of transactions. Others can go back as far as 24 months.
  8. Press Connect.

 

However, if you can't connect your personal bank account and try all the options matching your bank's name, or if your bank doesn’t appear, we can request support for your bank. Let me guide you on how:

 

  1. Go to Transactions, then select Bank transactions (Take me there).
  2. Click Connect account.
  3. Search for the name of your financial institution. If QuickBooks is unable to find your bank, select 'Still can't find your bank?'. You may need to scroll down the page to find this.
  4. Enter your Bank name and Bank web address (URL) in the field provided, then press Request.

Thanks for the manual but it doesn't work when the URL(link) of the bank is not correct. What QuickBooks has added is the one for Personal banking (stated for business) so even though password n account user ID entered also Danny link the account. Hence, I need QuickBooks to add the URL link as stated earlier n I HV sent to them few days ago but till now, nothing has been updated so I can't do anything to link my business account. What should I do to tell QuickBooks team to do it IMNEDIATELY?

You've already taken the necessary step by submitting a request to support your bank in QBO. Although we can't offer a precise estimate of when your bank will be linked, you do have the alternative of manually importing your transactions.

 

After the said process, review and categorise your transactions to put them in the correct accounts.

 

Additionally, I'd encourage you to reconcile your accounts in QBO regularly (every month). This way, you can monitor your income and expenses accordingly.

Hi this problem is not solved. Please fix it immediately. Maybank2u does not have the ability to download transactions, so please do not suggest that.

We can't offer a precise estimate of when your bank will be integrated with QuickBooks Online (QBO), ganvictor. However, we can provide an alternative method to keep your financial data updated.

 

While we anticipate the connection of your bank, you'll want to manually import your transactions. This is a two-way process where you need to download the data from your financial institution and upload them to QBO.

 

After the said process, review and categorise your transactions to put them in the correct accounts.

 

Also, I'd encourage you to reconcile your accounts in QBO regularly (every month). This way, you can monitor your income and expenses accordingly.

Actually, you don't need the bank to intergrade anything with your side. You just need to amend the URL we provide to you and it will be connected when we key in our username and password. What's so difficult at yr end to do this?? I don't really understand!! Frustrated after 2 maths of this discussion and stop asking us to do manually when it can done just a click. I m trait mad n thinking to cancel the subscription

What has happened??  pls see the screenshot I HV attached here that the URL by QuickBooks is for personal account. We can't link it as the URL for business is different, which is   Canhttps://www.maybank2u.com.my/maybank2u/malaysia/en/business/index.page

Differentiate both Personal and Business URL if Maybank.

 

1. This is the URL of Maybank Personal account which is correct by QuickBooks. Screenshot attached

All users linking Maybank is having this issue and cant reconcile and we can't upload manually as Maybank doesn't provide the formats you asked for. Are your engineers working on this asap?

There is No blockage from Maybank if your URL is correct. I noticed that the URL of Maybank-Business is under the main page of Personal Account only when there is another BUSINESS button has to be clicked before we can enter our Username and Password. As my screenshot you you earlier to differentiate the 2 URL. I HV done the precess of requesting the correct URL in QuickBooks for 3 times providing the correct URL earlier but to no avail. So please handle with your internal dept to fix this matter quickly. There s nothing to do with Maybank now when the correct URL is not identified. For sure there s a rejection with no linkage when we enter the business account User ID n password in the Personal Account page. So please be clear on this matter n fix it. It should be fast. Thank-you. I m losing patience..

Here I HV sent the request of the correct URL and I did a few times so far but to no avail of shut outcome that QuickBooks is handling this. !!!!!!!!!!
