I have linked my shopify store to QBO via an app by bold that pushes all the sales into qbo from shopify. The trouble is that shopify or the app has created a VAT code within QBO which I am unable to edit within QBO. This VAT code is not being picked up by the VAT return. My accountant has to go into each sale that has been created in QBO and manually change the vat code to one that is picked up by the vat return. I have contacted QBO about this but they have not been able to help neither have the app developers. Has anyone else had this issue and is there a way around it
Hello @mandragula,
You'll have to contact directly the Technical Support of the Shopify app. From there, someone can help you assign and manage the correct VAT of your sales transactions.
In case you need some related articles in managing your customer's transactions, I've got you this link for reference: Manage Customers and Income.
Please touch base with me here for all of your QuickBooks needs, I'm always happy to help. Thanks for dropping by.
its a glitch, spoken to two people now, nothing can be done :(
Yes, we have exactly the same problem. My biggest problem is that nobody wishes to admit that it exists. There are no cells in the Shopify or Bold apps that allow anything to change. I don't really see it as a QB problem as we are trying to get data to them in their language. I have a long email trail of denial from both Bold and Shopify.
Tim to find another app converter as Bold really are not delivering
Hi,
I have the exact same problem. I have to get my accountant to amend each sale as well. Luckily, they use a bulk tool to do this at the end of each quarter and it doesn't take too much time. However, it totally defeats the object of being self sufficient and 'without' an accountant? Very annoying.
It seems like there is no point contacting Bold or Quickbooks about this?
Any luck on finding a better app?
