The app is crashing

I'm here to help you resolve the crashing issue of your QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile application, jonon.

 

There are several possible reasons why the QBO mobile app is crashing on your device. I've listed them below.

 

  •  Outdated or incompatible version: 
    • iOS devices need to run on iOS 9.3 or later
    • Android devices should be 4.1 or higher.
  • Excessive cache data - Over time, the app's cache data can become corrupted, leading to freezing or force closing issues.
  • Incomplete or failed installation or update - If the app wasn't installed correctly or the update was interrupted, it can result in crashes

 

To rectify this, let's ensure the device operating system is compatible with the QBO app to avoid system crashes or glitches.

 

If the program is installed on a supported one, I suggest clearing the app's cache. Doing so prevents system issues, frees up storage space, resolves loading or syncing issues, and improves performance.

 

For Android users, please perform these steps:

 

  1. From your phone's settings, select Apps. The option varies by device.
  2. Choose the QuickBooks app from the list.
  3. Select Storage, and then click Clear Data.

 

For iOS users, follow the instructions below:

 

  1. Select the menu at the top right corner of your device.
  2. Next, choose Help & Feedback.
  3. Select Refresh Data.
  4. Click Refresh.

 

If the problem continues, I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the app to resolve any installation or update issues that cause the crashing.

 

In the meantime, I suggest working on your QBO tasks via a browser.
