Hi, @userdalewhitehill.
I appreciate the details you've shared with the Community, and I understand you have an uneasy time resolving the discrepancy. Currently, we're unable to purge it since we can only reset an active account within 90 days of signup.
In your case, you'll need to start a new QuickBooks Online company and cancel the old one. If you still want to be under your accountant's supervision and billing, I recommend contacting your accountant directly. This way, they can create a new QuickBooks Online company for you.
However, if you want to create a separate QuickBooks Online account using the old company name, you can visit the QuickBooks homepage and sign up for a new account using the same login credentials. From there, you can either pick a discounted amount for up to 2-4 months and pay it at the regular price after the discount period or choose a free trial for a month and pay it at a regular price after.
You can check the information in this article for the step-by-step process: Create or add another company file to QuickBooks Online.
Additionally, you might need to upload older transactions manually because some banks can only retrieve transactions from up to a year.
Let me know if you have other questions about managing a QuickBooks Online account or any related concerns. I'll be here to help you more. Have a great day!
You can't purge your old QBO account. You should signup for a new one instead.
As another option, utilize the trial version of a backup restore app during your setup.
