I have invited my accountant to QB but when he accepts the invite it says incorrect link.

we have 3 companies, he can accept and look at 2 but the 3rd is saying incorrect link even though QB sent it to him

I have invited my accountant to QB but when he accepts the invite it says incorrect link.

I'll provide you with troubleshooting steps to help your accountant accept the invitation for your company account in your QuickBooks Online, Tricia.

 

To begin with, if your accountant has other QuickBooks companies open in the browser or tabs, ask them to sign out and then try to accept your invite again.

 

However, if they still can't accept, there may be a web browser issue. In that case, they should open the invite manually and enter the user ID and password they use in their QuickBooks Online Accountant. Here's how:

 

  1. Open the invite email.
  2. Right-click the Accept-Invitation link and copy the web address.
  3. Open a new private web browser. Use the incognito window in Google Chrome. For other browsers, it's a Private window or Private browser.
  4. To paste the copied web address, right-click in the address bar and select Paste.

 

Whenever they still can't accept, check the date. Your invites expire after 30 days. Don't resend the invite if you sent it close to or more than 30 days ago. Instead, ask your accountant to delete the invitation and send a new one. Follow these steps:

 

  1. Sign in to QBO as a primary admin.
  2. Navigate Settings and click Manage users.
  3. Tap the Accounting firms menu.
  4. Look for your accountant firm.
  5. Click the small arrow icon in the Action column, and then select Delete. If they see any duplicate invites, also delete those.
  6. Confirm that the account has not reached its usage limit for accountant users.
